A GOOD FIT STARTS WITH YOUR WORK
A different home
for your meeting notes.
Already have a meeting-notes app? Keep what works. Try one conversation in Markdrip and see whether local processing and files you own make your day easier.
CHOOSING A MEETING-NOTES APP
Compare the work.
Then compare the plans.
A meeting-suite tool can suit a team already working in that suite. A cloud workspace can make shared access convenient. A local app can suit someone who wants processing and files on their own device. Features and free allowances vary by product and plan.
On smaller screens, scroll the table sideways to see all three columns.
| What matters | What to check | With Markdrip today |
|---|---|---|
| Useful results | Can you trust the decisions, owners and next steps? Can you check the source? | Review summaries, correct transcripts and replay recorded audio. Check important details yourself. |
| Where content goes | Where are audio and notes processed? Can cloud processing be avoided? | On-device processing by default. External AI tasks require your permission. Turn cloud processing off to keep every AI task on your device. |
| Your meeting setup | Does it require a bot, a particular meeting app or calendar access? | Microphone and system-audio capture across meeting apps, with the appropriate permissions. Calendar access is optional. |
| Cost and history | Check minute allowances, history access, exports and extras after any introductory offer. | Free has no monthly recording or transcription quota. Saved Markdown stays readable outside the app. Plus adds optional features. |
| Your next workflow | Can you reuse notes in an editor or AI tool? What can an integration read? | Markdown files, local exports and optional MCP access. Read access is Free; Plus allows immediate supported writes after an explicit Read / Write opt-in. |
| Team and device fit | Do you need shared administration, a hosted team workspace, or a platform your app supports? | A personal desktop workspace, currently for macOS. Windows and Linux are coming soon. Local AI uses your device’s resources. |
Choose the workflow that fits. A hosted workspace may be a better fit if centralized collaboration matters more to you than local files. This is a checklist, not a claim that every alternative has the same limitations.
ONE MEETING. NO MIGRATION PROJECT.
Try it alongside
what you already use.
Prepare your device.
Install Free, choose a local notes folder and download the components you need. Check device and storage guidance. No account or card is needed.
Use a conversation you know.
Record a meeting you’re allowed to capture, or import an existing WAV, MP3, M4A or FLAC recording you’re allowed to use. Keep your old app and archive in place; audio import is not an account-history migration.
Check what you’d act on.
Find one decision and one next step. Check the names and wording against the transcript, then replay the audio. Correct a detail if needed. Judge the result on your actual language, audio and device.
Use the note in your own workflow.
Save a Markdown copy, open it in your editor, or copy a follow-up. Ask about a decision in your saved meetings. Connect a calendar or AI tool only if it helps your work.
Keep using Free if it meets your needs. Plus adds remembered voices across meetings and optional agent writes. Purchases are not available yet; insights and My coach are included in the upcoming 1.0 release, pending final native acceptance. External AI providers have separate charges and limits.
